Roles & Responsibilities
- Be able to understand the basic step of selling procedures
- To follow according to coverage plan route & achieve sales call procedures.
- Monitor and recommend the optimal stock holding level to retailers
- Replenishment to outlets as and when necessary in additional to regular daily sales call.
- To achieve the agreed sales volume set by the area manager’s.
- Daily tracking of sales versus targets set
- Selling the right quantity to the outlets as to avoid OOS situation or over stock in the outlets.
- Achieve the distribution targets set and selling to right outlets with good recommendations of the right quality to the outlets.
- Manage the itinerary given to ensure that all outlets allocated per day are being serviced.
- Physical check on the stock freshness during every sales call in the outlet.
- Perform stock rotation in the outlets to ensure minimize market returns to avoid expired stock.
- Execute trade activities to the retailers according to cycle plan.
- Be able to explain & communicate to retailers of the trade activities mechanics
- Regular sales call according to route and build good rapport with the retailers to enhance a good working relationship
- To actively monitor and adhere to the company payment policy within his areas.
- Constantly feedback to his superior for actions if any of his customers intend to change their existing payment mode
- Seek approval from superior if there are any changes in payment mode from the retailers.
- Achieving coverage call plan within the designated area.
- Achieved sales target and ensure no Out Of Stocks (OOS) situations in the outlets at all times.
- Selling the right quantity to the outlets as to avoid OOS situation or over stock in the outlets.
- Achieved the distribution target set according to company objectives. i.e. distribution
- Maintaining stock hygiene with minimum write-off based aligned to company plan
- Execution of trade activities according to plan and timeline
- Demonstrate good trade relationship with the retailers and to improve the service level.
- Managing the payment process & comply with company’s payment policy.
Requirements and skills
- Must have at least one year's previous sales experience in the FMCG Industry
- Must be energetic and enthusiastic
- Must be a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative
- A proven team player with an excellent customer service approach
- IT literate with an ability to use handheld reporting technology
- Must be flexible as this job involves flexibility with regards to the role of sales representative and van sales
- Full clean Drivers Licence
- Integrity is mandatory & company has zero tolerance.
- Must be able to make 50 calls per day
- Must possess a “0” Level or BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in working on a van & then managing a retail sales team of 50 plus people & a fleet of 20 vehicles.
- Must have proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Ability to effectively communicate via phone, email and in person.
- Able to work additional hours during peak seasons or when required by management
Remuneration:
- Commensurate with experience & ability
- Structure will be fixed amount plus target based commission
- Car will be provided by company along with fuel
